Given the blazing sun it's pretty clear: summer is officially here. With summer, comes our holiday plans! And for some reason, if you haven't managed to book yourself a totally insta-friendly, tropical-climes holiday yet, this Orient Brasserie will definitely transport you to the scuzzy but totally amazing part of South East Asia!

From the makers of Delhi's popular hangouts, PCO and A Ta Maison, comes Lodi Colony Market's swanky new place, the Ping's Cafe Orient. Here's the best part. You neither need a passcode nor do you need an exclusive membership to enter this super authentic cafe! All you need is an appetite, as you will pretty much end up ordering everything their eclectic menu has to offer. The overall vibe and ambience of the place is casual, rustic with walls painted in bright red and black. We love the idea of a neon signage and bulbs hanging off the ropes. There are plenty of old school, well-thought-out touches that make for a total winner. Overall, it's spread across two floors. The ground floor is essentially a casual, sit-down cafe and upstairs is the beer garden.

In a mood for a healthy and wholesome food experience? Bookmark this place, or even better, just book a table! Ping’s menu is chockfull of authentic flavours from all over South East Asia. Think carefully curated menu prepared using farm-fresh ingredients, freshly ground spices and herbs with options to delight every food need, such as low-calorie, vegan and gluten free. Although temporary, the current menu is extensive. It has everything from soups and salads to appetizers, signature mains and desserts. From shibuya crossing’s Chicken Yakitori to halong bay slow-simmered fish and Tokyo tower ramen broth, everything is prepared in a hearty-healthy style while preserving the goodness of each dish. As you’re there, give their happy potent cocktails a definite go and do not leave without trying the Mango Stick Rice and Banana Pudding with Homemade Coconut Ice cream. Delightfully delicious!
