Travel back to the colonial times with celebrated chef Marut Sikka’s latest restaurant, Delhi Club House, located in the newly furbished Sangam Courtyard in Delhi. Taking comfort food from clubs across the length and breadth of India and giving them a fine-dine update defines the concept behind this buzzing new place. As you walk into the restaurant, you can’t help but be taken in by the imperial theme. The bay windows, antique bar, tennis-green interiors and white-washed walls are far from stuffy, giving Delhi Club House a cosy ambience.
The menu, albeit short, takes you on a whirlwind trip of the most memorable dishes from India’s favourite clubs. Spicy nano idlis with organic ghee, air-fried paani puris, masala cheddar cheese toast with fresh salad and crispy spinach chaat are some of the delicacies one just can’t miss. Top it off with the nostalgic, creamy, signature cold coffee that clubs are best known for, and you’ve got yourself a restaurant that takes you down the memory lane, one delicious bite at a time.
