You can never have enough of amazing fashion! As expected, Milan continued to catwalk with elegance and sophistication as designers turned out one stunning stitch after the other. Sporty cool got a unanimous thumbs up from Gucci to Versace; Bottega Veneta had a few milestones to celebrate with the brand marking its 50th anniversary this season and Creative Director, Thomas Maier ringing in 15 years at the helm; while at Versace everyone from Naomi Campbell to Adrian Lima made a surprise appearance at Versace...phew! And if you thought that was all, the trend burst had us hoping summer sneaked in right about now!
Fanny Packs just had a Milanese makeover with the belt bag! As expected they are bigger, cooler, and chicer in 2017. From Tod's, No.21, Marni, to Colangelo everyone made the utilitarian bag a fashionable statement. We aren't complaining.
Going hands-free gets a big nod from us!
Who would have ever imagined you could wear a bralette over a shirt? Prada! Full bloom feathers over sensible pair of shorts gave new meaning to wild chic. Etro stuck to 90s cool pairing the bralette with chokers and trousers while Bottega Veneta showed us how to upgrade the wispy threads instantly with a crocodile cropped jacket.
Just in time for bohemian raphsody remix. From Roberto Cavalli embracing velvet flares and ombre capes to Alberta Ferretti adding tough weights on chiffon dresses with big belts, everyone was playing to the new boho. Gucci kept it slick, while Missoni has floor sweeping coming next spring. We are so prepped for boho with a jig!
Say yes to sporty cool because athleisure is going nowhere in 2017. Versace led the trend pack with graphic nylon parkas and leggings while Max Mara and MSGM followed close behind in activewear that looks like you are always ready to slay! Raincoats also got a chic makeover at Versace in lush green and rich plum colours. Yum and yes!
