We love this antidote to that old red-carpet stalwart—monochrome. Any bright shade will do, though our favourite has to be the fuchsia-coral combo (excellent colour-clashing skills) on Taylor Swift, the gorgeous purple tones on Kacey Musgraves tiered gown and Selena Gomez’ deep V-cut maxi dress. We also adore Ariana Grande’s fiery-red gown just as much as love Florence Welch’s pretty pastel number. And truth be told, we are also secretly looking forward to see variations of Taylor Swift’s gorgeous colour-clash outfit. Here’s to planning all your big night outfits come summer 2016.
Who knew the colour black could prove so much high-fashion inspiration? While Bella Hadid and Zuri Hall upped the ante with a low-cut gown and smoldering smoky eyes, the gorgeous Adele kept things rather conservative in a long maxi cinched at the waist, dripping in sequins. Although we might have seen some expected silhouettes that still managed to wow us, there were a few looks that truly had our jaws dropping. Janelle Monae’s outrageous high-neck top and a semi-circular skirt combo and Zendaya in a pant-suit proved that red-carpet fashion need not be a cliché.
