Pune Ultra Marathon — 12 November
Meant for trained runners aspiring for a good ultra marathon, this 25 km loop track is a route of trail, gradients, roads and hill slopes to provide an ultimate endurance test. Pick from four race categories — 50, 75, 100 and 160 kms.
Airtel Delhi Half Marathon — 20 November
Started in 2005, this race across the capital city attracts huge numbers of Indian and international marathoners. If you’re a true blooded runner pick the 21 km half marathon. For others, there’s also the 6 km Great Delhi Run with first-timers, and other participants running to raise awareness for various causes.
Mumbai XC Half Marathon — 27 November
A course built through Mumbai’s only surviving green patch, Aarey Milk Colony, this run is a mix of rough track and uphill paths. Organised by professional runners, this one offers three distance options — 21, 10 and 5 km races.
The Great India Marathon — 27 November
This one is not a race. Rather, it’s an event organised in support of the Indian army. The three easy stretches of 10, 5 and 3 km begin at the Marina Beach lighthouse in Chennai.
Gurgaon Marathon And A Half — 11 December
In it’s 9th edition, the Gurgaon marathon is a 10.55 km loop that lets your family and friends cheer you many times through your run. If you’re seasoned, try completing the 63.30 km stretch in the 7.30-hour time limit. For others, there are the 42, 21, 10 and 5 km races as well.
