Bored of wearing the penguin suit each time you’re expected to dress up for the red carpet. Give your classic tuxedo a redo by loosening it up a bit. The simplest way, of course, is to leave behind the bow, like Wiz Khalifa, Justin Beiber—who walked in with his brother—and Big Sean did. While all three of them stuck to classic monochrome, Khalifa went a step ahead and replaced the blazer for a tailcoat, and black smart shoes for white high-top trainers. If you’re required to stick with a proper tuxedo, take a cue from Jack Antonoff. His grey jacket is a refreshing change from the rest.

We’re a big fan of men who play with patterns and colours. John Legend, Mark Ronson and Aloe Blacc started off a print party at the Grammys, this year. Obviously with loads of style. If you’re going to be wearing prints, the key is to pick one standout piece. It has the power to instantly lift up your look, even if you go the Ronson way and wear a scoop-neck T-shirt underneath, or pick a day colour, like Blacc did, for an evening do. Sam Hunt, on the other hand, showed us how a shade as tricky as pink can look as dapper as it does on him. Pair it with brown lace-up shoes.
